Current Prose for Better Learning

This new anthology of current prose makes two claims: Firstly, all the extracts in it are samples of the finest English prose that is being written today in India, England, Europe and the United States. All of them touch upon, and a few of them really get to grips with, themes of perennial human Interest. There is a lot here for keen young minds to enjoy and ponder over as they go carefully through the contents and the language. The primary aim of continuing to teach English beyond the secondary stage is to train young readers in purposeful reading.
